The Digital clinical excellence Network

This forum for Digital Clinical Excellence 'DiCE', is a network whose aim it is to drive excellence and improve quality and safety in digital healthcare. Created in March 2019, it provides a collective clinical voice for the growing community of digital healthcare providers. It benefits from a depth and strength of construct through the alignment of three stakeholders:

A leading edge central facilitation team

The independent Chair of DiCE is Professor James Kingsland OBE, a distinguished primary care physician, unique as an international healthcare policy advisor, educationalist, researcher, presenter and broadcaster. His team in Healthworks Ventures co-ordinates DiCE activity and helps create the educational, training and service development agenda for online clinical service providers. Together they listen to the views of the participants and horizon scan to help drive a programme to promote digital clinical excellence and enhance patient experience in this sector.

Network participants

The network incorporates online clinical service providers from across the UK. The participants are the senior clinical leaders from these organisations who ensure collective governance for DiCE. There is no commercial focus or activity within this network.

Statutory Organisations

DiCE has been recognised as the collective independent voice for online clinical service providers. Our meetings and webinars are often attended by colleagues working in regulatory bodies, including Department of Health and Social Care 'DHSC', General Medical Council 'GMC', General Pharmaceutical Council 'GPhC', and Care Quality Commission 'CQC' which keeps the network up-to-date of any new developments relating to digital policy development, regulation and inspection to ensure good standards of safety, security and quality in this sector.
