The DiCE network was set up in March 2019 by Professor James Kingsland OBE to give a voice to, and support the growing community of digital healthcare providers within primary care.
ITS CORE AIMS ARE TO:
• Set standards for quality, safety and good practice.
• Disseminate information and improve the understanding of the sector for NHS colleagues and patients.
• Create a collaborative voice for the sector to interact with policy makers and regulators.
• Establish evidence of improved care and comparisons with current standards.
• Be clinically led and ensure that standards of care remain at the forefront of the network.
• Help identify priorities for supporting the development and spread of digital primary care organisations across the health system and support strategic problem solving as the national implementation expands.
• Actively support the technical development and practical implementation of digital primary care nationally.
• Drive digital innovation to support patients’ future needs and wants.
• Act as a repository for technical issues challenging the design, development and spread of digital primary care.
• Horizon scan and help identify ‘blind spots’ in the establishment of digital primary care organisations and clinical standards.
• Seek expert opinion and advice from group members and associated organisations. [Recognising that this is an individual’s expert opinion and not necessarily representative of or attributable to their organisation].
